The ambassadors of Turkmenistan and Iran to the Russian Federation discussed issues of bilateral cooperation

A meeting was held in Moscow between Ambassador of Turkmenistan Esen Aydogdyev and Permanent Representative of Iran Kazem Jalali, reports the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic department.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation. It was noted that Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran are long-standing partners developing their relations based on the principles of friendship, good neighborliness and mutual respect.

The heads of diplomatic missions paid particular attention to the development of economic partnership, including in the transit and transport sector. Diplomats voiced the increasing role of international transit and transport corridors passing through the territories of the two countries in building up interregional trade ties.

The leaders spoke about the need to fully use the potential of cooperation in the transport sector and create favorable conditions for the development of cargo transportation.

It is also noted that during the meeting, the heads of diplomatic missions exchanged views on issues on the international agenda.
