The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Turkey Ishanguly Amanlyev participated in the ceremony of honoring the memory of Hero of Russia Andrei Karlov, who died four years ago, because of a terrorist attack in Ankara.

As TASS informs, the ambassadors of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Moldova and Tajikistan also took part in the memorial events.

Employees of Russian foreign entities afternoon laid flowers at the monument of Karlov, positioned in the embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkey.

Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov died on December 19, 2016 in Ankara at the opening of a photo exhibition at the Center for Contemporary Art. During his speech, he was shot by former policeman Mevlut Mert Altintash. The attacker was eliminated by the Turkish police.

In the MFA of the Russian Federation that act was qualifies as a terrorist attack. Investigating committee of the Russian Federation a criminal case on the article “Acts of international terrorism” was opened.

Andrei Karlov posthumously awarded the title Hero of Russia.
