Today, the meeting was held between Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Tbilisi Dovletmyrat Muratov and the President of Georgian National Academy of Science Giorgi Kvesitadze.

The sides discussed issues of further cooperation and holding joint events that contribute to strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties and friendship between the two countries and peoples.

It was noted that the Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier between the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Georgian National Academy of Science facilitated the establishment of direct contacts between scientists of the two countries, as well as the intensive development and deepening of scientific cooperation.

Ambassador D.Muratov noted that Turkmenistan will widely celebrate the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet-philosopher Magtymguly Pyragy in 2024. He noted that the work on preparation of celebration of this momentous event is already actively developing.

In his turn, Mr. G. Kvesitadze expressed readiness for further cooperation and confidence that traditionally friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries will continue to develop actively, reports the press-service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan to Georgia.
