The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan met with the rector of “Manas” University

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic Shadurdy Meredov met in Bishkek with the rector of the Kyrgyz-Turkish “Manas” University Alpaslan Ceylan.

The parties discussed the development of bilateral relations in the field of education, science and technology.

The Ambassador acquainted A. Ceylan with the Plan of upcoming events on the occasion of the solemn celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi.

In particular, it is planned to hold an international scientific conference “The Significance of Magtymguly Fragi in the Spiritual and Cultural Values of Humanity” together with the relevant departments of Turkmenistan. The rector fully supported the initiative to hold this conference.

Also, the head of the university expressed interest in the possibility of participating in events dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the Turkmen Horse. On his part, it was also proposed to organize meetings with the heads of some Turkmen universities.

At the end, the Turkmen diplomat presented the rector of the “Manas” University with the book of the Hero-Arkadag “The Horse is a Symbol of Loyalty and Happiness” as a gift.

The parties reached an agreement to continue fruitful cooperation, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
