The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan held an online meeting with Turkmen students

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov held an online meeting with Turkmen students studying at universities in Kazakhstan. This was reported by IIA “Kazinform” with reference to the press service of the embassy. The meeting was also attended by representatives of universities and the Turkmen diaspora of Kazakhstan.

At the meeting, Batyr Rejepov discussed with students the planned events in Turkmenistan in honor of the 30th anniversary of the country's independence. It was also noted that the year 2021 is held under the motto “Turkmenistan is the Motherland of Peace and Trust”, in addition, the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat is scheduled for this year.

In accordance with the information, during the event, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora in Kazakhstan and student activists, who supported the peaceful, good-neighborly policy of neutral Turkmenistan, spoke at the event.

As part of the event, student youth performed with songs and national dances.

Currently, more than 3,500 thousand Turkmen students are studying in Kazakhstan, the source notes.

Batyr Durdymuratovich Rejepov was appointed to the post of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan in January this year. Previously, Batyr Rejepov served as the head of the department of the Middle East of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, by presidential decree he was awarded the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
