On Tuesday, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia Muhametgeldi Ayazov met with Vice-Rector for Development and Innovation of Yerevan State University Michael Ovansiyan.
M. Ayazov, in turn, stressed that the university's cooperation with the universities of Turkmenistan is carried out at a high level. Members of the faculty of Yerevan University have repeatedly visited Turkmenistan, as well as remotely conducted lectures for Turkmen students.
The Ambassador noted that youth policy is one of the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan, and great importance is attached to this issue. The President of the country has repeatedly noted the need for the expediency of intensifying international partnerships and exchanging experience in the field of education.
The Turkmen diplomat also spoke about plans to hold various events to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi as part of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Armenia, which are scheduled for this year.
The Ambassador proposed to Yerevan State University, within the framework of this action, to hold an international scientific-practical conference together with Magtymguly TSU "Magtymguly Fragi - in the history of world culture."
