The Ambassador of Turkmenistan met with the Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of Georgia

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Georgia Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov met with First Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports of Georgia Ioseb Bagaturia. This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Tbilisi.

The parties noted the active growth of Turkmen-Georgian relations in all areas, emphasizing the importance of cultural exchanges for comprehensive cooperation between the countries.

The Ambassador reported on the holding of events in Turkmenistan and abroad dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi.

Ioseb Bagaturia thanked the Turkmen side for the invitation to the opening ceremony of the monuments to Magtymguly Fragi and Shota Rustaveli in Ashgabat. He also announced joint cultural events in Georgia in honor of the Turkmen poet.

Plans to hold the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Georgia were discussed. The parties expressed confidence that this event will contribute to the popularization of Turkmen culture, art, literature and history, as well as strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries and peoples.
