The Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Bucharest met with the Deputy Minister of National Education of Romania

On Wednesday, in the building of the Ministry of National Education of Romania, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan A. Annayev and the Deputy Minister of National Education of Romania, Mr. Ionel-Florian Lixandru.

The parties discussed cooperation between the two friendly countries in the field of education and ways of their development and strengthening.

Mr. Lixandru thanked the Turkmen side for choosing Romanian universities to send Turkmen youth to study.

The Ambassador, in turn, expressed gratitude for the support provided in the education of Turkmen students. Based on the cooperation program, the Romanian side annually allocates scholarships, today there are 105 scholarships for studying in higher educational institutions for Turkmen citizens.

The parties agreed on the joint participation of professors, students and schoolchildren of the two countries in mutual scientific and educational events.

A. Annaev proposed organizing “open lessons” about Turkmenistan for Romanian students and schoolchildren so that they become familiar with the history of the Turkmen, culture and traditions, and the work of the Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi.
