The AIMAG closing and opening ceremonies to cost $120 mln

Gundogar reports that the opening and closing ceremonies for the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat will be held by the Italian company Balich Worldwide Shows.

“We are extremely happy to use our experience in the Olympics at the Asian Games in Ashgabat. The Olympic complex is an amazing place, a facility with a wonderful infrastructure, objects and technologies which meet the highest standards”, —the website quotes the CEO of the company Marco Balich.

The cost of the ceremonies is not disclosed. According to experts, the services rendered by Balich Worldwide Shows will cost the organizers from $100 to $120 million.

The major part of the budget will be spent on salaries, transportation, accommodation, meals and servicing of performers, coordinators and technical staff involved in the ceremonies. The rest will be spent on delivery and installation of equipment, including decorations, lighting and fireworks.

A source in the Organizational committee of the Games told Gundogar that an announcement will be made in Turkmenistan that the expenses associated with the opening and closing ceremonies for the Games will be covered by the Turkish company “Polymex”, a primary developer of the Olympic village in Ashgabat.

According to the information published on the company website, Balich Worldwide Shows was involved in organizing and conducting festive ceremonies in summer and winter Olympics in Turin-2006, London-2012, Sochi-2014 and Rio-2016. Besides, the same specialists served as producers of celebrations of the 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence in 2011.
