The 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China was celebrated in Ashgabat

On September 30, a ceremonial event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China was held in the capital of Turkmenistan. The festive evening took place at the “Yyldyz” hotel, a Turkmenportal correspondent reports.

The Chinese Ambassador to Turkmenistan delivered a welcoming speech, noting Turkmenistan's impressive achievements over 33 years of independence. The diplomat emphasized the country's growing role in maintaining regional and global security. The intensity of bilateral contacts at the highest level was particularly noted - in 2023, the leaders of the two countries met three times.

In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Hojamurat Geldimyradov emphasized economic cooperation between the countries.He emphasized that China is a key foreign trade partner of Turkmenistan.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, special importance is attached to cooperation in the oil and gas industry and the development of investment partnerships.In addition, Geldimyradov noted the importance of training Turkmen specialists in higher education institutions of China, considering this as a strategic investment in the country's human capital.

Guests of the event were treated to Chinese cuisine and a thematic exhibition. The festive evening demonstrated the strength of friendly ties between Turkmenistan and China, as well as the mutual desire to expand cooperation.
