Turkmen teachers are visiting the People’s Republic of China, where they are studying the experience of secondary vocational education, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
The visit Is taking place from December 9 to 13 as part of the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) program of the Asian Development Bank for workers in secondary vocational education in Central Asian countries.
Representatives of the Ashgabat Secondary Vocational School of Tourism and the Vocational and Technical School of Infocommunications of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan are participating in the events from Turkmenistan.
The training program opened with a joint meeting of the heads of the Department of Education of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, the Asian Development Bank team led by the Director of the Human and Social Development Sector Sophia Shakil and employees of secondary vocational education of the Central Asian countries.
Then, introductory meetings were held for all participants at the Guangxi Vocational and Technical College.
At the Guangxi Institute of Electromechanics and Polytechnics, located in the city of Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the participants were introduced to the features and joint work of seven secondary vocational schools operating on its basis.
In the final days of the program, a visit to the Vocational and Technical School of Railway Transport and secondary vocational educational institutions at the Polytechnic University of Luzhou is planned.
A visit to the Guilin University of Tourism is also planned, where presentations will be held for delegates from Central Asia on the achievements of the university, its management system and current project work, the source notes.
