Tatarstan Expresses Readiness to Increase Its Agro-Industrial Exports to Turkmenistan

Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan Guych Garayev held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov in Kazan on Friday. During the talks, the Zyabbarov informed of the interest of Tatarstan in increasing exports of its agro-industrial products to Turkmenistan.

The Tatar official emphasized readiness to supply such products as grain, sunflower oil, sugar, baby food, dairy products, including dried milk and cheeses to Turkmenistan, the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan said in its Monday press release.

The sides also discussed the progress and prospects of cooperation between the countries in agriculture, food, agro-industry, crop and livestock production.

In turn, the Consul General of Turkmenistan informed Zyabbarov of Turkmenistan's export opportunities in the field of agriculture.

During the meeting, the Turkmen envoy also informed about the planned meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Tatarstan working group on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation in March 2023.
