Tashkent Mayor Gets Acquainted With Tashkent Park’s Project in Ashgabat

Hyakim (Mayor) of Ashgabat Yaztagan Gylyjov and a delegation led by the Mayor of Uzbekistan’s Tashkent city Jakhongir Artykhojayev got acquainted with the initial design of the Tashkent park, planned to be constructed in the historical center of Ashgabat, on a 3-hectare site along Magtymguly Avenue.

A delegation led by Jahongir Artykhojayev paid a working visit to Ashgabat on March 17, the Tashkent City Administration reported in its Monday press release.

During the meeting, the heads of the city administrations discussed matters of development and strengthening of bilateral relations, according to the statement.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a meeting with Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov in mid-February announced that the park titled Tashkent will appear in Ashgabat.

In 2018, as a sign of friendship and brotherhood between people of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, the Ashgabat park was opened in Tashkent.
