Sweden “received” 500 square meters from Norway

As a result of a change in the river bed, 500 square meters of Norwegian territory passed to Sweden, writes euro-pulse.ru.

Norwegian border guards discovered the change in the border with Sweden from aerial photographs. Now they are preparing documents for transmission to the Foreign Ministries of the two countries. The official border change could happen next year.

The territory that has “passed over” to Swedish jurisdiction belongs to a private landowner. He stated that these lands are protected, so their formal transfer will not affect their use.
