Students from Turkmenistan win gold at the International Informatics Olympiad

At the II International Olympiad in Informatics, which was held in Ashgabat from April 15 to 19, students from Turkmenistan achieved impressive results, winning 43 medals, including 10 gold.

The Russian team took second place with 17 awards, students from China took third place with 10 awards. This was reported by vestiabad publication with reference to MIR 24.

Students from 18 countries took part in this Olympiad, which was organized at the Yagshigeldy Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas.

The competition took place in two stages. During the first stage, participants solved programming problems, and at the second stage they developed complex software in the field of cybersecurity.

An excursion to Nisa, which is famous for its archaeological sites and rich historical heritage, was organized for the Olympiad participants.
