Staging of the opera “Gul  Bilbil” completed in Ashgabat

At the National Music and Drama Theater named after Mahtumkuli completed work on the production of the opera “Gul Bilbil” based on the destan of Abdulla Shabendi, which turns 300 this year, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

The music for the opera was written by People's Artist of Turkmenistan, composer Hudaynazar Amangeldyev. The author of the libretto is People's Writer of Turkmenistan Govshutgeldy Danatarov. The production of the opera belongs to the director, Honored Art Worker of Turkmenistan Aynazar Batyrov.

The opera is attended by students and teachers of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kulieva.

The main parts are performed by: Leyli Okdirova (Gul), People's Artist of Turkmenistan Atajan Berdyev (Bilbil), laureate of the Altyn Asyr Prize Beik Gaipov (Nasyr Shah), Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Bibi Amanova (Bilbil's mother).

The 3rd year student of TNC Dovletmammet Okdirov is the conductor of the orchestra.

The premiere of the opera “Gul Bilbil” will take place on June 24 at the State Music and Drama Theater of Lebap velayat named after Seitnazar Seydi within the framework of the “Week of Culture” held this year in Lebap velayat.
