St. Petersburg is interested in the supply of agricultural products from Turkmenistan

Today the governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the events dedicated to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan, met with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the energy sector and shipbuilding, prospects for the supply of agricultural products, construction of infrastructure facilities, reports TASS.

Beglov confirmed his readiness to organize work with St. Petersburg trade networks to promote Turkmen products, and first of all, the city is interested in the supply of agricultural products, he noted.

St. Petersburg can export medicines, electronics and microelectronics, food and confectionery products to the Turkmen market.

The opening of the Trade House of St. Petersburg in Turkmenistan and the Trade House of Turkmenistan in St. Petersburg will help strengthen economic cooperation, he stressed.

Earlier, we reported that the governor of St. Petersburg arrived on an official visit to Turkmenistan.
