Sony Pictures Entertainment has named a new building in Los Angeles in honor of the legendary Hollywood composer John Williams, reports daily.afisha.ru with reference to Variety.
Williams is an Oscar, Grammy and Emmy Award winner. He wrote the music for such cult films as “Star Wars”, “Jaws”, “Jurassic Park” and “Harry Potter”.
The composer holds the record for the most “Oscar” nominations 53.
The building's dedication ceremony was attended by Williams' longtime colleagues, including directors Steven Spielberg and JJ Abrams.
Despite his age, Williams, 92, has no plans to retire. He stated that he plans to continue writing music for films and other projects.
