Shares Worth Nearly 40 Million Manats Sold Through Ashgabat Exchange

Investors purchased more than 29.83 million manats worth of shares through Turkmenistan’s Ashgabat Stock Exchange in the first five months of 2022, according the data posted by the Exchange.

This amount is around 3.7 times more than the total value of shares sold in entire 2021. Last year, over 8.4 million manats of shares were sold through the exchange.

Since 2019, Ashgabat Exchange has facilitated the sale of more than 1.2 million shares worth over 50 million manats, according to the exchange data.

Over 8 thousand shares of Halkbank, 5.5 thousand shares of Rysgal Bank and over a million shares of Senagat Bank are presently in circulation at the exchange.

Since the start of its operations, Ashgabat Stock Exchange has held a total of 33 trading sessions, registering 61 transactions.

Ashgabat Stock Exchange CJSC was established on August 17, 2016. The founders of the Exchange are the Senagat JSCB, the Türkmenstandartlary (Turkmen Standards) Main State Service, the State Insurance Organization of Turkmenistan and Atiyäçlandyryş Hyzmatlary (Insurance Services) CJSC.
