The Temperature Measurement Laboratory of the State Stock Reference Center of the Main State Service "Turkmenstandartlary" passed international accreditation and received a certificate valid until the end of December 2022.
The experts of the Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS) highly assessed the work of metrologists.They confirmed the laboratory's compliance with the international standard ISO / IEC 17025.For the first time, the accuracy of measuring the temperature parameters conducted in the center is recognized internationally.
A lot of work preceded international accreditation.For several years were conducted trainings on performing calibrations in the field of thermometry.It was held together with the experts of the project "Supporting the improvement of technical regulation and development of the quality infrastructure in Turkmenistan" carried out by the British Institute of Standards, experts from the Vilnius Metrology Institute and the Institute of Metrology of the Georgian National Agency for Standards and Metrology (GEOSTM).
It has been obtained corresponding certificates.With the support of the Vilnius Metrology Institute, Turkmen specialists calibrated the standard equipment and measuring instruments, as well as interlaboratory three-way comparisons in the range: -40 to +30 ° C.
The tests were successful, which allowed applying the application and a set of documents to the SNAS for international accreditation.
There are 26 laboratories in the structure of the State Stock Reference Center, whose activities are aimed at matching products, performed work and rendered services to the world quality standards.
The national reference database contains a set of standards, equipment and high-precision tools for 17 types of measurements used in various sectors of the country's economy.At present, laboratories for measuring mass, force, volume and pressure are preparing for international accreditation.
