On April 14, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov will take part in the sixth meeting of the heads of the foreign affairs agencies of Russia and Central Asia - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan - to be held in Samarkand.
According to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, at the meeting it is planned to discuss promising areas of six-party cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, transport, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as mechanisms for its effective implementation in line with the decisions of the first Russia-Central Asia summit.

"On the sidelines" of the above events, Lavrov's bilateral meetings with his colleagues from the countries of Central Asia are also planned.
Earlier it was reported that a delegation of Turkmenistan would also take part in the meeting.
