Turkmen athletes took part in the opening ceremony of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris.The Turkmenistan team sailed on a boat along the Seine under serial number 191 after the athletes from Turkey.
Following the Turkmen athletes at the ceremony was the Tuvalu team.The order of entry of the athletes was arranged in accordance with the French alphabet.
The flag bearer of the Turkmen team was judoka Serdar Rahimov.
