Serdar Rahimov became the silver medalist of the European Open Judo Championship in Italy

Turkmen judoka Serdar Rahimov won a silver medal in the weight category up to 66 kg at the European Open Championship, which takes place in Rome (Italy).

In the final fight, Rahimov lost to Briton Charlie Young. The bronze medalists were the representative of Italy Luca Kadzhana and the Ukrainian Karo Marandyan.

This is the best result in his career for 18-year-old Serdar Rahimov, who trains under the guidance of Gahryman Amandurdiyev.

The team of Turkmenistan at the European Open Championship 2023 in Rome is represented by 16 judokas (11 men and 5 women).
