Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the commissioning ceremony of a new facility in Ashgabat - the Bagtyýarlyk water treatment plant with a capacity of 150 thousand cubic meters of water per day.
The construction of the structure was carried out in accordance with the relevant decree of the head of state, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
“The source of water is an open reservoir with a volume of one million cubic meters, located on the right bank of the Karakum River.The naturally settled water flows by gravity into the front chamber of the first pumping station, where equipment manufactured by the world famous company KSB is installed.
It is then sent to a water treatment plant, disinfected and sent to a filtration tank”, - the statement said.
The source notes that the technology used at the facility meets the criteria outlined in the European Union documents “Best Available Technologies” and “Best Environmental Practices”.
“Water samples collected at the site and analyzed in accredited laboratories comply with Turkish, International Organization for Standardization and World Health Organization standards. These facts indicate that this water is safe for the environment and human health. All this is reflected in the corresponding Certificate”, - the State News Agency emphasizes.
The festive event dedicated to the upcoming Ashgabat City Day was attended by representatives of the public, heads of ministries and subordinate institutions of Turkmenistan, as well as students. Within the framework of the opening ceremony, colorful song, music and dance performances by creative groups from the country took place.
In addition, minibuses donated on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan were presented in a solemn atmosphere.
