President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society, Neda Berger, in Ashgabat on Tuesday. During the meeting, the parties discussed holding the 6th Vienna Ball in Turkmenistan this year.
Neda Berger arrived in Ashgabat to participate in cultural events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy, as well as to hold a series of meetings to discuss the current state of bilateral cultural cooperation and its prospects for further development, reports the official media of Turkmenistan.
The Head of State warmly welcomed Berger to the ancient and hospitable Turkmen land and expressed confidence that the results of this visit would be an important step in expanding the partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Austria.
"You have been a long-standing and true friend of Turkmenistan. For many years, you have actively participated in various celebrations held in our country and have consistently contributed to the development of interstate relations," said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked Neda Berger for her tireless efforts aimed at strengthening the bonds of friendship and expanding bilateral cooperation, and wished the head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society good health, well-being, and further success.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, also met with the head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society, Neda Berger, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in cultural events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy.
