Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the President of Egypt on Revolution Day

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent heartfelt congratulations to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, on the occasion of the national holiday of the country, Revolution Day, celebrated today, the Watan news program of the Turkmen television reported.

Taking this opportunity, the head of Turkmenistan expressed sincere wishes to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi for good health and happiness, and to the people of the Arab Republic of Egypt - peace, well-being and further prosperity.

On the night of July 23, 1952, a group of patriotic military men, members of the radical Free Officers Movement, led by Gamal Abdel Nasser, carried out a revolutionary coup in Egypt and overthrew the feudal-monarchist regime of King Farouk.

The military coup provoked the beginning of a revolutionary wave in the Arab world and contributed to the intensification of decolonization.
