President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, participated in the opening ceremony of the Yashlyk Water Treatment Facility on Wednesday.
According to Turkmenistan's official media, the facility, located in the Ak Bugday district of the Ahal province, has a capacity of purifying 30,000 cubic meters of water per day.
As reported, Turkmenistan is paying constant attention to improving approaches to water resource management and conservation, creating additional water reserves, enhancing water supply to cities and villages, increasing the capacity of reservoirs, river throughput, irrigation, and drainage networks.
In pursuit of these goals, specialized projects are being implemented, and the industry is acquiring state-of-the-art equipment and machinery.
On the same day, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also attended the grand opening ceremony of the second phase of the Baherden Cement Plant, with an annual capacity of 1 million tons of cement.
