Serdar Berdimuhamedov Appoints New Deputy Foreign Ministers in Turkmenistan

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov implemented personnel changes in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan during the Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Monday.

The Head of State relieved Vepa Hajiyev of the post of Deputy Foreign Minister and appointed him as Turkmenistan's Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Swiss Confederation.

The Head of State has appointed Ahmet Gurbanov as the Deputy Minister, following his previous role as Turkmenistan's Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The President of Turkmenistan has relieved Berdiniyaz Myatiyev of his position as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs due to his transfer to another role.

Serdar Muhammetdurdiyev, Head of the State Protocol and International Relations Department in the Office of the President of Turkmenistan, has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in addition to his primary role.

During the government meeting, the participants discussed implementing vital aspects of Turkmenistan's foreign policy course in the international arena as an independent nation.
