Seminar for online mass media starts in Ashgabat

Three-day training course for journalists on work in online media, which was organized by the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat, started in the Yildyz Hotel of the capital.The seminar is held under the project of Support in improvement of professional potential of journalists and specialists of the State organizations, who are responsible for public relations.

Representatives of leading mass media including online media of the country as well as correspondents of foreign news agencies accredited in Turkmenistan take part in the seminar.Experts Oksana Silantiyeva (Russian Federation) and Vadim Makarenko (Republic of Belarus) gave comprehensive analysis of modern trends of development of online media and spoke of creation of multimedia content with application of new methods of collection of information.

Head of the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat Natalya Drozd noted in her speech that electronic media are ahead of traditional from operation point of view as well as by the quality of development of information.

Therefore, they attract more readers.The training will last until June 12.
