Scientists from the Oil and Gas Research Institute in Turkmenistan have implemented developments for the purification of formation waters

Scientists from the Oil and Gas Research and Design Research Institute (Nebitgazylmytaslama) of the Turkmennebit State Concern have introduced developments for the purification of formation waters.

Oil contains in its chemical composition resins and paraffin, which over time form solid deposits in the pipes of production wells. As a result, the throughput capacity of the tubing string - pump and compressor pipes - is significantly reduced.

Senior researcher at the Institute's laboratory for influencing productive formations of wells, Saparmurad Artykov, says on the pages of the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper:

As practice shows, the funds spent on the development of scientific inventions and rationalization proposals are fully justified. The efficiency of scientific developments is measured in hundreds of tons of additional oil and cubic meters of extracted hydrocarbons.

The oil and gas industry is a strategic sector of the national economy of Turkmenistan. As part of the implementation of the “State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 20212025,” a complete reconstruction of the complex of buildings of the specialized research institute Nebitgazylmytaslama in the city of Balkanabat was carried out in order to develop a high-tech and competitive digital economy.

The modernization of the research institute allowed scientists, engineers and technical workers of the institute to expand and strengthen the connection between science and production. Scientifically based improvement of oil and hydrocarbon production is aimed at successfully solving the assigned tasks.
