School students of Turkmenistan adequately represented the country at the International Greenwich Olympiad-IGO2023 in London, which brought together the best young environmentalists from more than 40 countries of the world.
According to the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper, 224 individual and joint projects of schoolchildren in the field of environmental protection were presented to the jury.
Students from schools № 135, 83 and 97 entered the national team of Turkmenistan: Mahmyt Mahmudov, Merdan Muhammetorazov, Muhammetnur Saparmuradov, Shamuhammet Muhammedov and brothers Emir and Abdylkayum Nuryev. The team was headed by the director of secondary specialized school № 135 Hudayberdy Bayev.
As a result of the Olympiad, all Turkmen participants were awarded bronze medals.
