Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that principals of some secondary schools and kindergarten administrators are being summoned to the Ashgabat prosecutor’s office because of complaints submitted by parents.
For instance, parents need to make a financial contribution of 50 manats, or “at least 30” from low-income families to invite Santa Claus or Snow Maiden for school performances.
At the public prosecutor’s offices principals are warned about their accountability and are threatened with criminal or administrative charges. Principals of some schools and kindergartens located in the residential district of “Khitrovka” have already been summoned for a conversation.
Let us recall that a few weeks earlier schools and kindergartens allowed parents not to make money contributions for gifts, but to but their own presents.
However, they had to collect money to pay for Santa’s services.
