Saudi Arabia will resume external air services and reopen all airports in the kingdom from 17th of May. This was reported on Friday by the Saudi Gazette with reference to the decision of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia, reports TASS.

It is noted that the resumption of air traffic will not affect all foreign countries, but only those that will be approved by the sanitary authorities.
On January 29th, Saudi Arabia announced the postponement of the opening of seaports and land border points from March 31st to May 17th.
The Saudi Gazette notes, citing its source in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, that the current decision was made on the basis of a statement from the Kingdom’s Ministry of Health that the manufacturers of vaccines for COVID-19 cannot ensure the timely delivery of already contracted batches of vaccines.
The Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia has approved the use of a vaccine against the new coronavirus produced by the British-Swedish company AstraZeneca, the American companies Moderna and Pfizer, and the German BioNTech.
