Saudi Arabia plans to build one of the largest airports in the world in El-Riyadh

Saudi Arabia intends to build one of the world’s largest airports in El- Riyadh, Bloomberg reports.

The planned area of the new airport is approximately 57 square kilometers. The airport will be equipped with 6 runways.

It is supposed that the airport will be able to serve up to 120 million travelers by 2030 and 185 million by 2050.

It is expected that all airport complex needs in electro energy will be powered by renewable energy sources.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud intends to use tourism as a way to diversify the oil-dependent economy and plans to make Saudi Arabia one of the most popular destination in the world.
