RZD-Medicine Ready to Build Medical Train for Turkmenistan

The Russian healthcare network RZD-Medicine expressed its readiness to develop and construct a mobile medical complex based on a train for Turkmenistan. Ivan Ivanov, the company’s advisor on international activities, made the announcement during a visit by a Russian delegation to Ashgabat as part of the Mission of Good program, TASS reported on Thursday.

Ivan Ivanov, the advisor on international activities at RZD-Medicine, noted that Turkmen officials expressed particular interest in the Russian experience of creating the mobile consulting and diagnostic center, Saint Panteleimon. This unique project, developed in collaboration with Transmashholding, began operations in August 2024.

RZD-Medicine plans to share its technologies and create a similar complex for Turkmen partners. Ivanov emphasized that the project relies entirely on Russian equipment and has no global analogs.

The Saint Panteleimon medical train functions as a fully equipped mobile diagnostic center featuring modern medical equipment. It includes departments for functional and radiological diagnostics, a clinical laboratory, a surgical unit, and a pharmacy. A key component of the complex is its telemedicine system, which enables remote consultations with leading specialists.

This project aims to provide quality medical assistance to residents of remote areas lacking permanent medical infrastructure.
