Russian doctors prepare clinical trial of cancer vaccine

The Russian Ministry of Health and Roszdravnadzor have given official permission to form a group of volunteers to conduct clinical trials of a new vaccine against cancer. This was reported by Andrey Kaprin, who holds the position of chief oncologist of the Russian Ministry of Health, Interfax reports.

“We have now received permission from the Ministry of Health and Roszdravnadzor to recruit a research group.I know that our foreign colleagues are doing the same thing at the same time.

The Ministry of Health is helping us a lot with this, and everyone is helping us because they understand that this is important not only for the country, but also for the world,” Kaprin said.

The specialist especially emphasized that the process of selecting participants will be as strict and thorough as possible. “There are patients who are indicated, and those who are not. It can harm some,” Kaprin explained.

The vaccine is initially planned to be used on patients who have exhausted all traditional treatment methods. The chief oncologist noted the high effectiveness of the drug based on the results of preclinical studies.
