Russian Company Power Machines Targets Turkmen Energy Sector’s Modernization Projects

Power Machines, the Russian power engineering company, intends to take part in modernization of electric energy objects in Turkmenistan, TASS news agency reported, citing the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov as informing journalists on the outcomes of his negotiations with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

"One of the topics we discussed was power engineering. Our company, Power Machines, is now negotiating with Turkmenistan's electric energy entities to modernize its facilities," Beglov said.

Beglov noted that he also discussed cooperation in shipbuilding with the Turkmen President.

"St. Petersburg today is the shipbuilding capital. At present 53 ships and vessels are being constructed at our shipyards and this topic was considered as well. He gave appropriate instructions to study this issue", the city Governor stated.

Power Machines is a St. Petersburg-based power engineering company, one of the ten world leaders in the industry in terms of installed equipment. The company designs, manufactures and supplies complete equipment for thermal, nuclear and hydroelectric power plants.
