Russia will donate more than 750 books to cultural institutions of Turkmenistan by the end of 2024

By the end of 2024, the Russian side intends to donate more than 750 books of fiction and specialized literature in Russian to cultural institutions and libraries in Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag. This was announced by Russian Ambassador Ivan Volynkin at the opening of the Days of Russian Culture in Turkmenistan, a Turkmenportal correspondent reports.

The Ambassador also spoke about other joint humanitarian projects implemented this year, including the Days of Russian Cinema and Animation, screenings of feature films on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the “Mosfilm” film concern, a festival of Russian cuisine, and performances by the creative groups “Turetsky Choir” and “Soprano”.

These events aroused great interest among the residents of Turkmenistan and contributed to the strengthening of cultural ties between the two countries.

On October 16, the Days of Russian Culture in Turkmenistan opened with the exhibition “Patchwork Mosaic of Russia” of the State Russian House of Folk Art named after V.D. Polenov and a performance by the State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble of Adygea “Nalmes”.

On October 17, the series of events will continue with a master class from soloists of the “Nalmes” ensemble. There will also be an exhibition called “Planet Tchaikovsky” and a performance by the famous pianist, laureate of international music competitions Dmitry Masleev.
