Special “Russian shelves” may appear in Russian stores, reports the “Izvestia” newspaper.
The draft law requiring large retail chains to create shelves with exclusively Russian-made goods in their trading floors was developed jointly by State Duma deputies and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
Within the framework of the project, separate racks will be placed in retail outlets, which will display only Russian goods, initially non-food, and later food products will also be displayed.
According to the authors of the bill, this measure will help increase the competitiveness of Russian products and accelerate the technological development of the country. The innovation will be mandatory only for networks with revenues of over 2 billion rubles a year.
