Chairman of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan (FFT), Guvanchmuhammet Ovekov, National Team Head Coach Mergen Orazov, and Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Belgium, Sapar Palvanov, held an online meeting with Gijs de Jong, the General Secretary of the Royal Dutch Football Association, and Michael van der Star, the Director of International Coach Development at the Association.
During the meeting, the Dutch side expressed their readiness and eagerness to visit Turkmenistan.
As reported by the Turkmenistan Embassy in Belgium on Wednesday, leaders of the Royal Dutch Football Association also showed interest in exploring cooperation opportunities on-site, including potential joint projects related to football infrastructure and training.
According to the statement, Turkmen delegations will also be involved in these joint projects by visiting the Netherlands.
The meeting participants primarily focused on developing coaching skills. Both sides emphasized the importance of knowledge and resource exchange to enhance the quality of football training in Turkmenistan.
Additionally, possibilities for organizing exchange programs for players and training sessions with Dutch experts were discussed during the conversation.
In turn, the Turkmen side proposed the development of a memorandum of understanding between the Federation and the Royal Association.
In conclusion, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation in the field of football.
