Ronaldo's “Al-Nasr” reached the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League, beating rivals “Ahal”

“Al Nasr” Football Club made it to the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League with a victory over “Al Feikha”. In the second leg of the 1/8 finals, “Al-Nasr” won with a score of 2:0 thanks to goals from Otavio and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In the first match of the clubs from the Saudi Arabian championship, “Al-Nasr” also celebrated a minimal victory 1:0 thanks to a goal scored by Ronaldo.

Now, in the quarter finals, “Al-Nasr” will compete with the UAE representative “Al-Ain”. These matches will be held in March.

“Al-Feikha”, which lost to “Al-Nasr”, was previously the opponent of the Turkmen “Ahal” in the group stage of the tournament. Despite the victory over the Saudis at home, this was not enough for “Ahal” to qualify from the group.

Interestingly, “Al-Ain”, “Al-Nasr's” quarter-final opponent, also played “Ahal” in the group stage. Although the Turkmen club showed decent football in the matches with the Arabs, it lost with a score of 2:4 away and 1:2 at home.

Let us note that the current winner of the AFC Champions League is the Japanese “Urawa Red Diamonds”, which this season failed to overcome the group stage.
