A record shallowing of rivers has been recorded in Siberia.Thus, the water level in the Ob has dropped below the navigation level, which may cause the termination of the movement of ships along this waterway.
And in the Yenisei, the water level is 70 centimeters lower than usual, and residents of Krasnoyarsk, where they used to sail on boats, now walk on the bottom.
Because of the shallowing the navigation from Krasnoyarsk to Yeniseisk is suspended until August 5. The reason of such situation become the dry winter in Sayana and the intense heat that covered the region. As per the weather forecast, the water can return to Yenisei only in spring of the next year, mir24 reports.
