The results of the next youth competition for digital innovations, organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, have been summed up. This was reported by the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.
The Center for Young Scientists of Turkmenistan at the Academy of Sciences and the Youth Organization named after Mahtumkuli provided significant support in its implementation and popularization.
Participants from different parts of Turkmenistan became the authors of projects in the field of relevant and demanded technological innovations. Basically, these are schoolchildren and students, young specialists of various professional structures.
The competition was held in a hybrid format on the basis of the Digital Solution IT center created in the structure of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan.
A jury consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Center of Technologies of the Academy of Sciences and a group of private entrepreneurs got acquainted and evaluated the project applications of the contestants in full-time and virtual format.
In total, the organizing committee of the competition received 150 individual and joint projects, and only 15 of the most promising, according to the jury, reached the final.
The competition was held in 5 nominations, in each of which three best projects were identified.
Arslan Byashimov and Atael Astanov, students from the TSU named after Mahtumkuli, won the first place in the “Innovative City” nomination. Their joint project idea is aimed at digitalizing historical and natural monuments and other sights of the country, advertising them in the context of promoting the tourism industry on an Internet platform.
Akgozel Kurbankuliyeva, a sophomore of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics, took the first place in the “Digital Education” nomination, presenting a draft of an online program for working with electronic documents of applicants.
In the nomination “IT projects in the field of trade and services” the first place was awarded to the work of the teacher of the Institute of National Security of Turkmenistan Yhtiyar Bazarov.
The best in the “Cybersecurity and Information Protection” nomination was the “Digital Room” project, developed by Allanazar Bayramov, a teacher of secondary school No. 4 of the Tahtabazar etrap of Mary velayat.
In the “Free Topics” nomination, sophomorees of the Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan named after Oguzhan Ilmyrat Gummyev and Dayanch Jumagullyev took the first place with software for online testing of a web application, which is endowed with functions to independently generate and then display test questions on school subjects physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Among the authors of fifteen projects that reached the final in all five nominations, there are also representatives of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakaev, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the Naval Institute and the Military Institute.
The honorary list of leaders also includes students and teachers of secondary schools - No. 3 of Serhetabat etrap of Mary velayat, No. 7 of Mary city, No. 97 of Ashgabat, as well as secondary specialized school No. 21 with in-depth study of physics and mathematics in Dashoguz.
The solemn ceremony of summing up the results of the competition and awarding was held in a hybrid format. Participants from the regions joined the event online.
The winners and prize-winners became holders of special diplomas and memorable gifts. All other participants received certificates of honor.
