Representatives of Turkmenistan participated in the working meeting of the border agencies of the CIS countries

Representatives of Turkmenistan participated in a working meeting of officials of the border agencies of the CIS member states on the organization of border protection, held in Brest.

The main topic of the meeting was the perfection of forms and methods of counterwork of illegal activities on the external borders of the CIS member states, the website of the CIS Executive Committee reports with reference to the State Border Committee of Belarus.

During the meeting, it was noted that the geopolitical situation specifies integrating efforts of the CIS member states in the field of countering illegal activities on the different sections of the borders.

In the discussion took part the representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the Coordination service of the Council of Commanders of Border Troops.

Representatives of the CIS border agencies visited the car checkpoint “Brest”, border outposts “Kazimirovo” and “Brest” named after A. Kizhevatov. As part of the tour at the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex, officers laid flowers at its main monument and a sculpture composition “To the Heroes of the Border, women and children who stepped into immortality with their courage”.
