The Geneva Motor Show once again witnessed a significant event - the announcement of the winner of the prestigious Car of the Year 2024 competition. This year, the Renault Scenic E-Tech electric crossover won the palm (329 points), beating its competitors and bringing Renault the coveted award for the seventh time. Motor.ru reports this with reference to COTY.
The fifth generation of the Scenic is not just an updated design, but also an all-electric powertrain, demonstrating Renault's commitment to sustainability. A powerful engine (218 hp), an impressive range (up to 610 km) and a spacious trunk (545 l) make this car ideal for both city trips and long journeys.
The rivals of the Renault Scenic E-Tech BMW 5-Series (308 points) and Peugeot 3008 (197 points) also demonstrated their merits, but were inferior to the winner in terms of points. It is worth noting that electric cars have dominated the competition for the third year in a row.
Next are the Kia EV9 (190 points), Volvo EX30 (168), BYD Seal (131) and Toyota C-HR (127).
