At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, the issue of the upcoming reconstruction of the square “15 years of independence of Turkmenistan” in Ashgabat was discussed, TDH reports.
As Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov reported, as part of the reconstruction in the 50-hectare park, it is planned to build two overhead pedestrian crossings, bicycle paths, canopies in the recreation area, swimming pools, covered parking lots, and install modern street lighting. It is also planned to carry out landscaping work on the territory of the park.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that today the architectural ensemble of Ashgabat is becoming more and more beautiful. Exemplary projects for comfortable life, work and cultural leisure of the population are being implemented in the capital.
The head of state emphasized the importance of creating all conditions for recreation for citizens in the renovated park. “A beautiful public garden should fully correspond to the appearance of the white marble capital,” noted the President of the country, giving the Deputy Prime Minister the corresponding instructions.
