Ravshanbek Alimov appointed as new Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Ravshanbek Alimov arrived in Ashgabat to carry out a diplomatic mission. The 58-year-old diplomat has extensive international experience, including posts in Ukraine, Moldova, France and Portugal, gazeta.uz reports.

A graduate of the Bauman Moscow Technical University, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Uzbekistan and Georgetown University, Alimov served as Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis before his appointment as ambassador.

Fluent in four languages - English, French, Russian and Ukrainian.

Ravshanbek Alimov replaced Akmal Kuchkarov as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan, who represented the country from 2016 to 2024.
