Rashid Meredov Expressed Condolences to Iranian Foreign Ministry Leadership

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov expressed his condolences to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the death of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, who died in a helicopter crash on May 19 this year in Iran's East Azerbaijan province, reports the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on Monday.

In his written message, he specifically stated that Hossein Amir Abdollahian will forever be remembered as a diplomat who made a significant contribution to strengthening regional and global peace.

On the same day, Rashid Meredov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Ruzbehani, during which condolences were again expressed over the deaths of Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and other Iranian officials in the helicopter crash.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that this tragedy has deeply affected the hearts of all Turkmen people, and the Turkmen side expressed its readiness to provide necessary assistance to the Iranian side.
