Representatives of railway administrations of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan met online to discuss joint projects. Newscentralasia.net reports it with reference to the press-service of the Afghan Railways.
During the meeting, the issues of accelerating the process of sending Afghan students to Turkmenistan for studying, the implementation of the 30-kilometer railway road Akina Andhoy, also construction of a continuation of the railway line from Akina to Mazari Sharifa were discussed in details.
The parties agreed to create technical groups from both sides within five days to resolve the relevant issues.
The Turkmen side declared that in the near future a technical delegation will be sent to Akina for making a decision regarding the construction of a 10-kilometer railway from Andhoy station to the center of the settlement of the same name.
