Queues are still formed in front of Ashgabat ATMs

Since early July residents of Turkmenistan’s capital has been experiencing constrains when withdrawing cash from ATMs.

Queues are ormed from early in the morning and people stand in line until late in the evening.

Inhabitants of Ashgabat suburbs and rural areas of Akhal velayat head to Ashgabat to withdraw cash from their bank accounts as there is a shortage of cash in local ATMs. Many Ashgabat residents are very discontent with this and shift the blame for a deficit of cash on non-residents.
